Waiting times: Waiting times at our clinics can be very variable.  This is a drop-in service so we cannot predict how many clients may come through the door.  Consultations times can vary depending on need; it is also necessary for the clinician to fill in medical records after each consultation.

Clinic suspensions: On occasions it may be necessary to suspend clinic registration for short periods due to high numbers of patients accessing the drop-in service.  This is to ensure we maintain patient safety at all times.

If you need to attend for emergency contraception this is also available at the City Walk-In Service.

We have made improvements to the Abacus Sexual Health Service in Liverpool. Following the patient consultation carried out by Liverpool PCT spring 2013; we have brought clinics together so that we can give our patients:

- services to better suit their needs

- longer clinic opening hours

- the option of booked appointments as well as our drop–in service to reduce waiting times and increase choice

- our clinical expertise out in the community
