Pavilion Pre-School (Aigburth)

We are an Ofsted GOOD Pre-school. We operate from a small building in the Aigburth area.

We have a spacious out door play area and garden which our children enjoy being able to access daily.

We are a non for profit chatitable pre school with a parent commitee. We invest our time, passion and care in to the eduction of our preschool children. We have a strong community spirit and have been established for almost 50 years.

We have highly qualified staff whose aim it is to educate, inspire and learn alongside  preschool children, as well as prepare them for transition into school. We offer a wide variey fo learning through play and aim to encourge all childrens natural curiousty for learning. 

We welcome all children at Pavilion.

Other Availability
We have flexible opening hours. Children can attend a full day session and bring a packed lunch. Alternatively, they can attend just a morning or an afternoon sessions. We recommend a minimum attendance of 2-3 sessions our week.

1. How does the setting know if children need extra help and what should I do if I think my child may have special educational needs? 

Setting will assess your child when they enter Pre-school. If you have any concerns about your child please come and talk to us. We can plan in partnership with parents/carers to best meet the child's needs. 

2. How will the staff in the setting support my child? 

We will take time to find out your children's interests and strengths. We will work together to help your child to make progress in areas of concern.

We use play plans in order to work together. 

3. How will the curriculum be matched to my child's needs? 

Children's interests are used when planning in order to provide, increased motivation for children.

Children have individual profiles for assessment these are used to tailor future learning.

We are members of the Early years consortia.

5. How accessible is the setting? 

We have ramps to outdoor play area.

Our setting is all on one level. 

6. How will the setting support my child in transferring to the next stage of education? 

We work closely with the neighbourhood schools.

Teachers visit us and we visit the schools.

We take children on a visit to the nearest school.

For children who find it useful we do a personal transition booklet with photos. 

7. How are parents involved in the setting? How can I be involved? 

We encourage parents to come and share any skills and experiences with the pre-school. Parents are welcome to volunteer at sessions. We encourage parents to be part of all our fundraing events an active members of the charity committee.
