Irish Community Care (ICC)

Irish Community Care aims to be a leading participant in the provision of support, information and guidance for all Irish communities across the North West.

We currently offer a range of front-line information, advice and outreach support services including:

Drop in advice service

Drop-in information and advice around a range of issues including homelessness and applications for accommodation, identification, Welfare Benefits advice, GP registration and health, cultural isolation, reporting hate events,  and maintaining family links.

Welfare Benefits Advice and Advocacy

We link people into the range of welfare benefit entitlements from initial welfare benefits checks and form filling to representation at appeals and tribunals and also within both health and mental health Services and offer Appropriate Adult support for vulnerable young people and adults in a range of situations.

Outreach Support Services

We offer home, hospital and prison visits to our community who may be vulnerable through age, poor health / mental health, isolation, homelessness, poor housing, low income and substance misuse. 

Support groups for Older People

We work to reduce isolation, and empower older people to make decisions on how they can best meet their social, cultural and welfare needs.

Liverpool Clubs for Older People

Irish Tuesday Club, Now meeting every Wednesday 11am – 2.00pm at Liverpool Irish Centre

Liverpool Irish Centre, Boundary Lane off West Derby Road First Thursday of every month 1pm – 3.30pm

Cuimhne Memory Lane, for people experiencing Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer's and their carers, meeting every other Tuesday at Liverpool Irish Centre

Wirral Irish Group, St Anne's Parish Centre, Highfield Road, Rock Ferry, every Wednesday 12.00.-3.00pm

We can make appointments, outside of drop in times, for support which takes longer than normal drop in sessions will allow eg. completing benefit applications etc.

Details
Our services are free with one exception. There is a charge of £10 for supporting people to make an online application for an Irish Passport. This includes taking and uploading a photograph.
