Anfield Children's Centre Day Nursery
We are a much sought after nursery in the Anfield area being part of Anfield Children's Centre and All Saints Primary School. We offer your child a holistic care and learning package.
Your child is offered an individual currculum that enhances your chid's learning opportunities which includes music sessions, cooking sessions and drance & drama. As well as exploring the local environment, we have the use of two minibuses to take children on trips further afield.
Our highly qualified and experienced practitioners and nursery teacher track your child's progress using the latest technology and your contribution is greatly welcomed. Our aim is that each child reaches their full potential and leave us with the confidence and skills to become competent learners.
We operate an open door policy so pop in to look around the nursery - no appointment necessary- and if you like what you see just fill in our childcare enquiry form to confirm availability.
Find out if your child is entitled to free nursery education (2, 3, 4 year olds). We can also signpost you to where you may be able to get financial help to pay childcare fees.

We welcome all families into our nursery. Although not financial advisors we can sign post where to go for help with childcare costs and help you to claim any childcare funding your child may be entitled to. Our childcare provision is part of All Saints Primary School and as such our 3 year and four year old children will based in the school nursery. Here the children will benefit from regular teacher input to compliment the work of the early years practitioners, one of whom will be your child's keyworker. Our younger children benefit from large outdoor spaces to enhance their learning and also enjoy Forest School sessions in the school grounds. We have an open door policy so feel free to call in any time to visit the nursery.

- Description
How does the setting know if children need extra help and what should I do if I think my child may have special educational needs?
When your child has been offered a place, we will ask you for information about your child. It is normal to worry when your child first starts nursery. However our highly experienced early years practitioners will discuss your concerns with you. After about 6 weeks when we have a bit more knowledge about your child we will meet with you and our special education needs and disability coordinator to discuss the best way forward to help you and your child. Part of our role is to observe children at play and assess our findings. If necessary we will put play plans in place (which are unique to your child) to encourage your child's development. All parents are consulted over any plans the nursery put in place to enhance your child's learning and progress.
How will the staff in the setting support my child?
As we continue to monitor, your child’s keyworker will observe how your child learns and engages with adults and other children. Your child will have a learning journey and if your child needs extra help and support, this will be part of his/ her play plan.
How will the curriculum be matched to my child's needs?
We try to ensure that your child has their individual needs met. Each child is encouraged to take part in every activity whatever the child’s needs are. We are able to adapt activities to ensure each and every child is given the same learning opportunities.
What specialist services and expertise can be accessed by the setting?
All our staff have had training in some aspect of SEND. Eg autism, speech and language, sign language, portage training. The nursery SENCO has a NVQ level 3 in Special educational needs and disabilities. We work with a variety of agencies including speech and language therapists, physiotherapists. The nursery is a member of the Early Years Consortia.
How accessible is the setting?
We are confident that the nursery is fully accessible and DDA compliant. We are quite happy to discuss your and your child’s needs and how we can best meet them.
How will the setting support my child in transferring to the next stage of education?
When a child leaves us to either go to another nursery setting or to school, we have your permission to share your child’s learning journey. We will do our best to meet the staff of the new setting in preparation for your child’s transition. A transition form is completed for each child when they leave us so they have a written record of your child’s achievements.
How are parents involved in the setting? How can I be involved?
As we are part of the children’s centre all parents are welcome. As well as the nursery we also have sessions each day that your child can attend. We have a parents’ forum where we listen to your opinion on the services we offer and we also have parents who serve on the management board. In the nursery itself we have regular parents evenings and sessions where parents can stay and take part activities with a group of children.
