We cater for all needs, additional needs, special educational needs & have a dedicated level 3 Sen member of staff working along side all our qualified members of staff to support children in all area's.

- How does the setting know if children need extra help and what should I do if I think my child may have special educational needs?
When a new child joins our setting, the Manager/staff will make sure we have as much background information as possible to make sure we can fully understand any needs the child or the parent has. Induction process takes as long as needed for both child and parent to feel secure. If we feel a child may have additional needs we would discuss with parents how we will move forward and make sure we have regular update meetings to ensure all needs are being met.
2. How will the staff in the setting support my child?
All staff are fully trained to understand the EYFS and COEL. Staff will support all children by following the EYFS, using Learning journeys to log down and evidence all progress and work, observations for spontaneous and planned play, regular parent meetings to discuss progress and moving forward.
If required to referrals and to liaise with outside agencies .
3. How will the curriculum be matched to my child's needs?
All children work at their own pace, and while doing so staff will ensure that all milestones are being catered for to enhance all individual childs learning and progress.
Following the EYFS and planning helps children to move forward, meet milestones and progress
4. What specialist services and expertise can be accessed by the setting?
We work in partnership with the local authority, health and social care services.
We are members of the NDNA
We work closely with a Early years consultant.
We attend regular DipTac appointments to get advice from specialists and other settings.
5. How accessible is the setting?
The setting is wheelchair accessible.
We are happy to discuss your childs individual needs and make reasonable adjustments
6. How will the setting support my child in transferring to the next stage of education?
We follow our transition policy which includes getting parents involved for information of next schools or nurseries.
To visit the next school or nursery they will attend.
To read stories about going to school.
To research new uniforms they will wear. Role play to support this.
To have teachers come in to talk or tell stories.
To use EYFS to ensure that children have progressed and are school ready before moving on to the next stage of Education.
7. How are parents involved in the setting? How can I be involved?
We invite parents for progress meetings every 3 / 4 months.
We complete assessments every 3 /4 months.
We involve parents daily through regular chats & discussions.
We link with our local children centre for sensory play and activities.
We send out questionnaires for improvement.
