St Matthew's Catholic Primary School

St Matthew’s is a thriving Catholic primary school in Clubmoor. We are a large, over-subscribed two form entry school. We have 14 classes from Reception – Year 6. We do not have a nursery but take children from over 20 nurseries around the city.

We are an inclusive school who caters for children with a range of SEN needs. We work closely with a number of agencies, including but not limited to; speech therapy, autism initiatives, SENISS, EP services and a counselling service.

We pride ourselves on being a community school; we have a pastoral team in addition to our SEND offer and we have close links with other schools nearby and other community groups. We have strong links with our special neighbour, St Matthew’s Church.

Our new mission statement to ‘Love, Learn and Shine Together with Jesus’ explains clearly what our aim is. We put children at the heart of any decisions made and we are always striving for the best outcomes for the children.

Staff, families, other community groups work together to enable our mission statement to be realised.

Unfortunately we do not have a school carpark. Staff and visitors park around the area where they can.

There is a small carpark attached to the church that can be used. There are disabled bays for anyone requiring them.

There is a bus stop directly outside school which serves the 60 and 81 bus route.
