Full day care situated in the heart of the city centre. We are an award winning full day care setting. Our aim is to provide quality childcare and education in a teacher led setting.
Many of our team have worked at the setting since we opened 14 years ago and have gained additional qualifications whilst working with our children and families.
We currently have 6 Early years teachers plus and additional 3 staff who are graduates specialising in early years. All of our team are fully qualified with additional qualifications in leadership, Special needs, Music, Speech and Language, and physical education.
All of of team are qualified in paediatric first aid.
We work in partnership with Edgehill and John Moores university to support research into effective practice.
One of the most important aspects of our setting is our understanding of "family" we aim to know and understand each child and their families as individuals and aim to work in partnership with them to make a difference.

1. How does the setting know if children need extra help and what should I do if I think my child may have special educational needs?
When you join the setting we talk to you about what your child enjoys and what they can do already. We work closely with you at all times to track their progress and to ensure that they are reaching their appropriate developmental milestones.
If you are concerned or if the children are not reaching their milestones we will work with the family to find alternative ways to support them.
We have a trained special needs coordinator and a qualified tacher who has experience of working in a school for children with additionmal needs.
We are well placed to be able to support your child and be able to sighpost you to other agencies should this be needed.
2. How will the staff in the setting support my child?
The progress of all children is monitored and reviewed regularly and shared with parents. We measure progress by:
v Working with parents to find out the children’s starting points on entry to the setting
v Observing and tracking their progress linked to the early years foundation stage.
v Feeding back to parents and gaining their opinions
v Planning stimulating activities based on their interests and their next steps in learning.
v Offering an established key person system to ensure that links between the setting and home are maintained.
3. How will the curriculum be matched to my child's needs?
We have 6 separate rooms, which are organised to suit the stages and stages of development of the children.
The child’s key person plans activities, which are based on the children’s individual stage of development, what they enjoy and what parents have observed at home.
The key person shares action plans with the parents at 3 monthly intervals.
4. What specialist services and expertise can be accessed by the setting?
We are active members of the Liverpool consortia; we work closely with the speech and language team, the educational psychologists and the local authority.
We are members of the national day nursery association.
All staff are qualified in first aid, and have accessed training in ADHD, speech and language, behaviour management, epilepsy management, epi-pens, asthma and allergies, play plans working with others, portage. And visual aids.
We have 4 early years teachers and a qualified teacher with experience of teaching in a school for children with additional needs.
5. How accessible is the setting?
The setting is wheelchair accessible, being all on one level. We have disabled facilities for both children and their families.
We are happy to discuss your child individual needs and to make reasonable adjustments
6. How will the setting support my child in transferring to the next stage of education?
We work closely with all schools in Liverpool. We organise sessions for teachers to visit the nursery and have attended transition meetings with parents.
We plan activities for the children in preparation for their move to school such as packed lunch day, uniform day. We also slowly introduce stories and games related to school experience.
7. How are parents involved in the setting? How can I be involved?
We invite parents to discuss their child's progress regularly. We hold regular breakfast meetings with your child’s key person.
We use ipad and email technology as well as social media to keep you informed.
We hold family events such as Christmas parties, forest school events, and stay and paly sessions.
We link with our local children centre and parent groups.
