Brook Advisory Centre
Brook offers free and confidential sexual health advice and contraception to young people under 25.
Appointments are not usually necessary at Brook Centres, as we work on a ‘drop in’ basis.
The Centre provides:
* Contraception (including IUD and implants).
* Emergency Contraception
* Pregnancy Testing
* Implant removals.
* Screening for infections. Chlamydia and gonorrhea testing is available at all walk-in sessions. Full STI infection testing services also available on specific days.
Brook Liverpool Education provides a range of sex and relationships and health and wellbeing education and support for young people. The challenges young people face today are numerous, complex and fast moving. Our approach helps young people to develop the important life skills, resilience and self-confidence to deal with these challenges. Our approach is underpinned by a holistic Personal and Social Development model, and our own education and wellbeing values.
We provide education for universal groups, mixed & gender specific groups, vulnerable & hard-to-reach young people, learners with additional needs, young people exploring their gender & sexuality, young people seeking asylum, refugees & migrants, those involved with gangs and those at risk of CSE.
The topics we cover include condoms & contraception, consent, healthy relationships, LGBT diversity, online safety, pleasure, pornography, pregnancy choices, puberty, self-esteem, sex and the law, sexting, sexual bullying, sexual harassment and STIs.
Our education settings include, Primary schools, Secondary schools, Further Education Colleges, Universities, Youth groups, Pupil Referral Units, Residential Settings, Special Schools and Holiday clubs.
