PRAMS (Parents Review and Advise Maternity Services)

Live in Liverpool and had a baby in the last 2 years?

Tell us what we did well and what we could do better.

What is PRAMS?

Parents Review and Advise Maternity Services (PRAMS) is a local group that meets regularly to talk about maternity services in Liverpool. Members of the group include people who have recently or who are currently using local maternity services together with NHS staff such as doctors, midwives, GPs and paediatricians. Our main aim is to look at ways of improving how maternity services are run in Liverpool.

Why should I get involved?

So that the views and experiences of people who have recently used the maternity services in Liverpool are listened to and taken into account. This will help changes and improvements to be made where they are needed. Any parent (with a child less than 2 years old), or parent to be, is welcome at our meetings as your views will help us to shape the future of local maternity services.

How Can I get involved?

At PRAMS we are aware that getting involved in new groups when you have a baby or other children is not always easy. There are lots of ways you can get involved:

1. Register on the PRAMS website and join the virtual discussion from the comfort of your own home or while you are out and about here. http://www.liverpooltalkshealth.info/users/sign_up

2. Come along to a PRAMS discussion group. A different topic is discussed at each group. The groups are held in different places across the city (usually Children’s Centres). Details of when, where and what will be discussed are advertised on the PRAMS website. Discussion groups are held in family friendly venues and you are always welcome to bring your children with you.

3. Help organise and lead on PRAMS by becoming a regular committee member, contact MSLC1@Liverpoolccg.nhs.uk or Tel: 0151 296 7000 Refreshments are provided and travel expenses can be reimbursed. If you wish to be involved with PRAMS by becoming a committee member and you need child care to enable you to do so, we can reimburse the cost of a session at a registered child minder, private or local authority nursery.
