Action on Addiction's The Brink Cafe Bar

Alcohol free cafe bar and socialising space.

The Brink is Action on Addiction's alcohol free venue providing a space where people from all backgrounds and walks of life can dine, hang out, socialise and relax.

We also like to do our bit to promote the health and creativity of our local community, and we work closely with local artists, musicians and performers to put on a wide range of amusing, entertaining, educational and inspirational events.

Best of all, The Brink is a recovery social enterprise, which means that all our profits go directly back into the community to fund support for those who have suffered through alcoholism and addiction.

Events at The Brink

There’s always something going on at The Brink…

Our programme of entertainment and events includes all sorts… We bring you great live music, poetry, plays, performances and open mic evenings. We even roll out the big screen to show local football matches and specially selected films.

Best of all, entry to most of our events is totally free, but we’ll always be sure to let you know if there’s any charge for special events. Click on the website to find the latest events listings.

Support at The Brink

As well as providing a social space, our work includes providing information and support to anyone affected by addiction. Our team includes support workers and counsellors who promote recovery through a programme of services tailored to provide help where it’s most needed. Click here for more information.
